Kabuli Chickpeas

Kabuli chickpeas are the large, cream-coloured chickpea known as garbanzo beans in the Americas and the base of hummus and falafel across the Middle East. India is the world's largest chickpea producer, and Kabuli types are traded by size, with larger calibres fetching higher prices.

Geodhara International sources Kabuli chickpeas mainly from Andhra Pradesh - where Kurnool and Prakasam are the leading chickpea districts - together with Telangana and Karnataka. We supply southern Kabuli varieties such as KAK-2 and NBeG 119, machine cleaned, sortexed and size graded from 8 mm to 12 mm, and each lot is checked for moisture, admixture and damaged grains before dispatch.

Our target markets include the UAE, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, where we supply hummus producers, canned food companies, pulse traders and distributors with consistent quality and full export documentation.

FAQs

Kabuli chickpeas are large, round and cream-coloured with a thin seed coat, and are used whole in hummus, salads and canning. Desi chickpeas are smaller, darker and angular with a thicker coat, and are mostly split into chana dal or milled into besan. We export both, as separate products.
We grade Kabuli chickpeas at 8 mm, 9 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm and 12 mm. Larger calibres command higher prices and are preferred by Middle Eastern and European retail and canning buyers.
Mainly from Andhra Pradesh, where Kurnool and Prakasam are the leading chickpea districts, and from Telangana and Karnataka. Geodhara International does not own farms, factories or warehouses - we coordinate supply, quality checks and export.
In 25 kg or 50 kg PP woven or jute bags and 1 MT bulk bags. Consumer packs of 1 kg and 5 kg with private-label branding are also available.
Every shipment of Kabuli Chickpeas comes with a phytosanitary certificate, a certificate of origin and the shipping documents, plus a fumigation certificate where the destination requires it. A quality inspection report is supplied for every consignment.
