Mung Beans

Mung beans, known in India as green gram or moong (Vigna radiata), are one of the most versatile pulses - cooked whole or split as moong dal, milled into flour, and sprouted for the bean sprouts used across Asian cooking. They are valued for high protein, easy digestion and quick cooking.

Geodhara International sources mung beans mainly from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh - where varieties such as WGG 42, promoted by Telangana's state agricultural university, are widely grown - together with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Available whole (sabut moong), split with skin (chilka moong) and split without skin (yellow moong dal), each lot is cleaned, sortexed and colour graded to buyer specification.

Our target markets include Bangladesh, the USA, the UAE and the UK, where we supply pulse traders, food manufacturers, sprout producers and retail distributors with consistent quality and full export documentation.
